Mondo Gascaro, is a half Japanese-Indonesian composer, singer-songwriter, and producer. Formerly known as the founding member of the band Sore (from which he resigned after releasing two albums to critical acclaim), Mondo Gascaro composed music for notable Indonesian films such as "Love for Share" (2006), “Forbidden Door” (2009), “The Ritual" (2012), and more recently “Memories of My Body” (2018) directed by Garin Nugroho. The songs and and scores from the film was also released as Kucumbu Tubuh Indahku (Memories Of My Body) [Original Motion Picture Soundtrack].
Rien Djamain started singing jazz while participating in the Jack Lesmana Nada and Improvisation program on TVRI Jakarta in the 1970s. With Jack Lesmana she also made her first recording in 1976, titled Api Asmara, which was successful. In 1978, she recorded her second album, titled Air Mata, and in 1979 released a third album entitled Tuan dan Kami. Together with Jopie Item Combo and Abadi Soesman Big Band, they made a recording in aova style. She is also one of the singers who pioneered a jazz event at Pasar Seni Ancol, Jakarta, which was accompanied by a band led by Karim Suweileh (drummer).
