Born in Jakarta in 1994, Bass G picked up his first saxophone at a very young age of 4 under the tutelage of his father. He started with one of the smallest instrument in the saxophone family: the sopranino saxophone. Shortly after, he debuted in a professional performance setting as a part of a saxophone duo with his sibling in 1999, namely Gadiz V and Bass G (G&B). in 2005, Bass G collected the award from Indonesia World Records Museum as the Youngest Indonesian Professional Male Saxophonist since he was 8 years old.
Bass G finished his elementary school years in Indonesia and was later awarded a scholarship for his junior high school at Raffles International Christian School, recognizing for his talent as a professional musician. Bass G then continued his high school years in Toronto, Canada, under a full scholarship at Bronte College of Canada. Deciding to return to Southeast Asia, he then scholarship.
