Biography

A well-respected Indonesian musician, composer, songwriter, conductor, and orchestrator. Starting his career in the 80s as the bass player of fusion-jazz band Karimata, he became one of the most trusted music producers for Indonesia's big artists such as Chrisye,Krisdayanti, Ruth Sahanaya, Afgan, and Agnez Mo. In total, Erwin has won 34 AMI (Anugerah Musik Indonesia - Indonesian equivalent of the Grammys) awards, and collaborated with world-class orchestras, such as the London Symphony Orchestra, Bulgarian Symphony Orchestra,and The City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra. Erwin has released 3 albums in his name, including "Orkestra" (2001), "Salute to KoesPlus/Bersaudara" (2004), and "Rockestra" (2006). And in 2021, he's finally ready to release another masterpiece entitled "Symphonesia".In this new album, Erwin selects 8 of Indonesian legendary songs and turns them into orchestral pieces. This album is recorded with Synchron Stage Orchestra in Vienna and Mastered by Simon Gibson in Abbey Road Studio, London.
