Jo Soegono

Jo Soegono (Joe Suh-goh-no; born Yoakim Soegono) is a singer-songwriter of Indonesian descent. His most recent work, Prof Jo (2023 originally), captures the rhythmic character of Brazilian traditional music particularly samba and latin jazz, sung in indonesian. One of its notable tracks, Hujan Deras, drew attention within the Indonesian underground scene for its blend of Latin rhythm and local language. He continues to work and record his music in Jakarta.
