Maliq & D'Essentials

Maliq & D'Essentials was formed on May 15, 2002, introducing their signature “Organic Music” — a blend of soul, jazz, and live instrumentation. Founded by brothers Angga and Widi Puradiredja, the group evolved with key members including Indah, Jawa, Amar, and later Ilman Ibrahim Isa and Arya “Lale” Aditya Ramadhya. Starting from intimate lounges and cafés in Jakarta, MALIQ & D’Essentials grew into one of Indonesia’s most respected bands, known for their rich arrangements and soulful sound.
